What makes TPAC different from other dance/theater studios?
TPAC is a performing arts community where everyone gets to be in the limelight. We offer dance, musical theater, voice, acting, and more, with opportunities for both recreational students and students who want a more intensive path. We center the whole child.  We aim to provide the highest quality performing arts education possible while instilling confidence, kindness, and motivation into all of our students. We are committed to providing an emotionally and physically safe learning environment for all and creating experiences that go above and beyond your expectations. Our students’ well-being is our priority; their technical capability is secondary.

What if my child is shy or nervous about performing?
That’s actually one of the reasons we love the performing arts. Kids don’t have to arrive confident—they can build confidence through the experience. Our goal is to create a supportive environment where students can take risks, make mistakes, try something new, and gradually become more comfortable putting themselves out there.

 

What age can my child start at TPAC?
We have opportunities beginning with our ages 2 and under parent/child classes and continuing through the teen years into adulthood. Little Limelight introduces our youngest students to musical theater through age-appropriate, playful classes, while older students can participate in dance, musical theater, voice, The Conservatory Program, competitive dance, productions, and specialty programs.

 

How do I know which class/program is right for my child?
We can help you find the right fit based on your child's age, experience, interests, personality, and goals. Whether they're looking for a fun weekly activity or dreaming about being on stage, we'll help point you in the right direction.

Does my child have to audition?
Most TPAC classes do not require an audition. There are some programs—such as competitive dance teams and certain production opportunities—that have auditions or placement processes. We want as many kids as possible to have access to the performing arts while also providing more intensive opportunities for students who want them.

What if my child wants to do competitions or more serious training?
We have that, too. Our Eclipse Dance Team provides a more intensive competitive experience for dancers who want additional training, performance opportunities, and competition. We also offer leveled classes within our Conservatory Program and other advanced opportunities for students who want to continue challenging themselves.

 

Is TPAC just for kids who want to pursue performing arts professionally?
Not at all. The skills our students develop through performing arts such as confidence, communication, teamwork, discipline, creativity, resilience, and the ability to stand in front of a room and use their voice—are for everyone, regardless of your performing arts aspirations.
